Hay Fever — your questions, answered
What's the best treatment for hay fever?
Most people manage well with an antihistamine tablet, a steroid nasal spray, and antihistamine eye drops. If those aren't enough, our pharmacist can arrange prescription-strength sprays after a consultation.
Can I use more than one hay fever treatment at once?
Often yes — for example a nasal spray plus antihistamine tablets. Our pharmacist will help you combine them safely.
When should I start treatment?
Start a week or two before your symptoms usually begin. Steroid nasal sprays work best when they're used regularly, ahead of the season.
Information only — always read the patient leaflet and ask our pharmacist if you're unsure. Prescription treatments are supplied only after a consultation and our pharmacist's approval.
