Premature ejaculation (PE) is when ejaculation happens sooner than you or your partner would like — often within a minute or two — and it bothers you. It's one of the most common sexual concerns in men, and in most cases it's very treatable.

Premature Ejaculation — your questions, answered
What causes premature ejaculation?
It can be psychological (anxiety, stress, a new relationship), physical (oversensitivity, hormonal or prostate factors), or a mix of both. It sometimes happens alongside erectile dysfunction. Our pharmacist can help you work out what's most likely for you.
Is premature ejaculation permanent?
Usually not. Most men improve with treatment, simple techniques, or both. Options range from over-the-counter sprays and creams to a prescription tablet taken before sex.
What can I do about it?
You can start with over-the-counter options like Stud 100 spray or EMLA cream, which gently reduce sensitivity. For a longer-lasting option, dapoxetine (Priligy) is a prescription tablet — our pharmacist checks it's suitable for you first.
What's the difference between PE and erectile dysfunction?
They're different problems: PE is about how quickly you ejaculate, while erectile dysfunction (ED) is about getting or keeping an erection. Some men have both. If it might be ED, see our erectile dysfunction page.
