Sinusitis — your questions, answered
How long does sinusitis last?
Most sinusitis clears within 2–3 weeks without antibiotics. Steroid nasal sprays, decongestants and saline rinses can ease symptoms in the meantime.
When do I need treatment for sinusitis?
If symptoms drag past about 10 days without improving, our pharmacist can assess you — those aged 12+ can be seen free under NHS Pharmacy First.
When should I get urgent help?
Seek urgent care for a severe headache, swelling around the eyes, or changes to your vision.
