Incontinence — your questions, answered

What can help?
Absorbent pads and underwear keep you dry and confident while the cause is dealt with. Pelvic floor exercises, cutting down on caffeine and alcohol, and keeping to a healthy weight can all help, and a GP can refer you for specialist help such as pelvic floor training.
When should I see a GP?
See a GP about any bladder leaks - it is a common problem and nothing to be embarrassed about, and it can often be improved or cured. Get advice sooner if it starts suddenly, or comes with pain, blood in your urine or signs of a urine infection.
