Delivery and collection
The short version
Collection is free. Same-day local Leeds delivery is £2.99. Standard UK delivery is £3.99 via Royal Mail Tracked 48 (free over £40). Express UK is £5.49 via Royal Mail Tracked 24. Delivery starts after the pharmacist has approved your order and you've paid via the Stripe Payment Link.

What happens after you place an order
- Pharmacist reviews Usually the same working day, latest within 24 hours. No payment is taken at this stage.
- Stripe Payment Link sent Once approved, you get a secure Stripe link by SMS or email. Pay via Stripe's hosted page — we never handle your card details.
- Dispatch / preparation For UK delivery, we hand it to Royal Mail the same or next working day. For collection, your order is held at the dispensary. For local LS delivery, our team takes it out the same day.
- Tracking + arrival For Royal Mail Tracked, you'll get the tracking link in your dispatch email. For local delivery, we phone or text on arrival. For collection, we text when ready.
Why Royal Mail, not Evri or another carrier?
We deliberately use Royal Mail Tracked for medicines, not the cheapest courier on the market. There are three reasons:
- Tracking and insurance. Royal Mail Tracked services include up to £150 loss compensation built in, with clear tracking history from dispatch to delivery. For a medicine, that matters more than saving a pound.
- Trust signal. Customers expect a medicine to arrive in a Royal Mail bag, not a courier they've never heard of. Every major UK online pharmacy — Pharmacy2U included — uses Royal Mail for medicine deliveries for the same reason.
- Controlled-substance rules. Some pharmacy supplies (and any controlled drugs we dispense in future) require Royal Mail Signed-For as a permitted dispatch route under Home Office rules.
Where we deliver
- Collection: at our Leeds pharmacy, 22-24 Woodsley Road LS3 1DT, during opening hours.
- Local same-day delivery: LS postcodes in central and west Leeds (LS1–LS6, LS11–LS13). If you're elsewhere in greater Leeds, choose Royal Mail Tracked 24 for next-day service.
- UK delivery: mainland England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland. Some remote postcodes (Highlands, Islands, Isle of Man) may see longer transit times — Royal Mail's published service maps apply.
- International: we do not currently deliver outside the United Kingdom.
- Restricted items: some controlled or temperature-sensitive items may be collection-only or LS-local-only — this is flagged on the relevant product page.
Tracking, missed deliveries, and delays
For Royal Mail Tracked services, your tracking number is in the dispatch email. You can also track via the Royal Mail app or royalmail.com/track-your-item.
If a parcel doesn't arrive within the expected window:
- Royal Mail considers a parcel "lost" after 10 working days from dispatch for Tracked services.
- Contact us as soon as you suspect a problem — we'll start a claim and either re-send or refund you. You don't have to wait the full 10 days to tell us something looks wrong.
- Missed delivery slips: follow the Royal Mail instructions on the slip, or rearrange via the Royal Mail website. We can also redirect to your nearest delivery office if needed.
If your address is wrong, or you're not in
- If you provided an incorrect or incomplete address and the parcel comes back to us, additional charges may apply for redelivery (we'll only re-send after speaking to you).
- For tracked deliveries, Royal Mail will leave a card if you're not in, and the parcel goes to your local delivery office for collection within 18 days.
- For local same-day, we attempt one delivery; if you're not in we'll call to rearrange — collection from the pharmacy is always available as a fallback.
