Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how the pharmacy works — ordering, our pharmacist-review model, delivery, payments and the NHS services we provide free.

Ordering & consultations

How does ordering treatment online work?
Choose your treatment, answer a short suitability questionnaire, and pay securely. Our pharmacist personally reviews every order before anything is dispensed — if it isn't right for you, we won't supply it and you get a full refund.
Why do I have to answer questions before I can buy?
We're a regulated UK pharmacy, and some medicines legally require a suitability check. The questions are the same ones our pharmacist would ask you over the counter — they protect you, and they only take a minute or two.
What happens if the pharmacist declines my order?
You'll hear from us the same working day where possible, with the reason and — where appropriate — a suggestion for what to do instead (including free NHS routes). You are refunded in full automatically.
Do I need to see a doctor or send a prescription?
No. Our treatments are supplied under pharmacist-led frameworks or as pharmacy medicines, so the whole assessment happens on the website with our pharmacist reviewing it. If something needs a GP instead, we'll tell you honestly.
Is the service confidential?
Yes. Your answers are seen only by the pharmacy team, orders arrive in plain packaging with no mention of what's inside, and we never market to you based on your condition.

Delivery & collection

How fast is delivery?
Orders placed before 1pm Monday-Saturday and approved in time can usually be dispatched the same day. Treatments that need a booked consultation need that booking completed before 12:30pm to stay inside the same dispatch window. Tracked 24 (£5.49) usually arrives the next delivery day after dispatch; Sunday is skipped. Tracked 48 (£3.99, free over £40) usually takes 2-3 delivery days.
Can I collect instead of having it delivered?
Yes — collection from the pharmacy on Woodsley Road, Leeds is free, usually the same day once the pharmacist has approved your order. We'll message you the moment it's ready.
Is the packaging discreet?
Completely. Plain outer packaging, no pharmacy branding, nothing about the contents on the label.
How do I track my order?
You get an email at every stage — pharmacist approval, dispatch, and Royal Mail tracking once it's on its way. Signed-in patients can also see live order status in their account.

Payments & refunds

How do payments work?
Cards are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. You pay when you order, but nothing is dispensed until the pharmacist approves; if your order is declined, the refund is automatic and in full.
Can I return a medicine?
By law, medicines can't be resold once they've left the pharmacy, so we can't accept returns of medicines unless they arrived damaged or incorrect — in which case we replace or refund straight away. Unopened non-medicine shop items can be returned within 14 days.
Do you offer discounts on prescription treatments?
No — UK rules don't allow promotions on prescription-only medicines, and we follow them. What we can do is keep our standard prices honest and lower than the big online clinics on most treatments.

NHS services

Which of your services are free on the NHS?
A lot — Pharmacy First consultations for seven common conditions (including UTI, sore throat, earache and shingles), NHS flu jabs for eligible patients, NHS contraception starting and continuation, emergency contraception, blood pressure checks, and free NHS prescription delivery.
What is Pharmacy First?
An NHS service that lets our pharmacist assess and treat seven common conditions — with NHS-funded medicines where appropriate — without you needing a GP appointment. Book online or walk in.
Do I pay for the contraceptive pill?
No. Through the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service we can start or continue the pill for free — the same pills online clinics charge for.

Your account & privacy

Do I need an account to order?
No — you can check out as a guest. An account is free and adds order history, live status, easy reordering, and your treatment plan in one place.
How is my health information handled?
As special-category data under UK GDPR: encrypted in transit and at rest, seen only by the pharmacy team, never sold or shared for marketing. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
How do reviews on this site work?
Every review is from a verified purchase — we invite you to review only after your order is delivered, and a team member checks each one before it's published. We don't buy reviews or use third-party widgets.
