What is Sinutab Non-Drowsy Tablets 15?

Sinutab Non-Drowsy is a pharmacy tablet for the symptoms of sinusitis, colds and flu, where a blocked nose comes with sinus pain or a headache. Each tablet pairs a painkiller with a nasal decongestant, and neither ingredient makes you sleepy.

How does it help?

Paracetamol eases pain and brings down a temperature by acting on pain and temperature control in the brain and spinal cord. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant: it narrows the swollen blood vessels lining the nose and sinuses, which opens the airway and relieves the blocked, pressured feeling behind the cheeks and forehead.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. This medicine is not suitable if you have high blood pressure or other heart disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, closed-angle glaucoma, phaeochromocytoma or severe kidney disease, or if you take a beta-blocker, another decongestant, or an MAOI antidepressant now or within the last 14 days. Do not take any other paracetamol-containing medicine alongside it, and do not use it for longer than a few days. Stop and get medical help straight away if you develop a sudden severe headache, blurred vision or vision loss, a seizure, a spreading skin rash, or sudden severe stomach pain.
