What is Olbas Nasal Spray 20ml?

A drug-free decongestant nasal spray made with a salt solution, aloe vera and the essential oils of eucalyptus and balsam fir. The instructions describe it for adults and children aged 6 and over with a blocked or runny nose from infections of the nasal lining such as colds, sinus infections, and snoring caused by a dry nose. It is a medical device, not a medicine.

How does it help?

The solution is hypertonic, meaning it is saltier than the body's own fluids. It draws excess fluid out of the swollen lining of the nose, which reduces the swelling, and it rinses mucus away while keeping the nose moist. The eucalyptus and balsam fir oils add a fresh scent. Place the tip gently at the entrance of the nostril and press once, one spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day. Let any excess drain, blow your nose, then rinse the tip with water and dry it.

Who should take care?

Always read the instructions before use. For adults and children aged 6 and over. Do not use it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or if you are allergic to any ingredient. It contains d-limonene, geraniol and citral (naturally present in the oils), benzyl alcohol and benzalkonium chloride. Use no more than 3 times a day. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you take any other medicines. One bottle should be used by one person only. Use within 3 months of opening, and do not use it if the cap seal is broken. If it causes discomfort, stop using it and speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
