What is Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose Spray 10ml?

Sudafed Plus Blocked Nose 1mg/50mg/ml Nasal Spray is a licensed decongestant for the relief of a blocked nose caused by the common cold, flu, sinusitis, and allergic or non-allergic rhinitis, in adults and children aged 12 and over.

How does it help?

Xylometazoline narrows the swollen blood vessels in the lining of the nose so you can breathe through it again, and dexpanthenol helps care for the nasal lining. Use one spray into each nostril up to three times a day. Before the first use, prime the pump by pressing it five times away from your face.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Not for children under 12. Do not use it for more than 7 days in a row - longer use can make the nose more blocked. Do not use it if you have high blood pressure or heart disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, closed-angle glaucoma, a phaeochromocytoma, dry inflamed nasal lining, or have had surgery through the nose to the brain area; if you take beta blockers, another decongestant, or have taken an MAOI antidepressant in the last 2 weeks; or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Speak to our pharmacist first if you have raised eye pressure, porphyria or an enlarged prostate. Each spray should be used by one person only.
