What is Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules 16?

Sudafed Sinus Max Strength Capsules are a medicine for the symptoms of sinusitis - sinus pain and pressure, headache, aches, nasal congestion and a raised temperature - for adults and children aged 16 and over.

How does it help?

Paracetamol relieves pain and lowers a temperature, phenylephrine is a decongestant that reduces swelling in the nose and sinuses, and caffeine helps the pain relief. Swallow two capsules whole with water every 4 to 6 hours when needed, up to 8 capsules (4 doses) in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 3 days without speaking to a doctor.

Who should take care?

Contains paracetamol: do not take anything else containing paracetamol, or another decongestant, while taking it. Get urgent medical help after taking too much, even if you feel well - too much paracetamol can cause delayed, serious liver damage. Not for under 16s or anyone with high blood pressure, heart disease, an overactive thyroid or an enlarged prostate, or taking an MAOI antidepressant (or within 2 weeks). Ask first if you take blood-pressure medicines, beta-blockers, tricyclic antidepressants, digoxin, ergotamine or warfarin, or have liver or kidney problems, Raynaud's, diabetes, a stomach ulcer history, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
