Benadryl Allergy One a Day is a cetirizine antihistamine tablet taken once daily for hay fever and other allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itchy watery eyes and a runny nose.
What is Benadryl Allergy One a Day 10mg Tablets 30?
A once-daily allergy tablet containing cetirizine. It is used for hay fever and for year-round allergies to things like house dust mite or pet dander, and it also helps with allergic skin itching and hives. A pack of 30 covers a month of daily dosing.
How does it help?
When you come into contact with something you are allergic to, your body releases histamine. Histamine is what makes your nose run, your eyes stream and your skin itch. Cetirizine is an antihistamine - it blocks the H1 receptors that histamine acts on, so those messages do not get through and the symptoms settle.
Key benefits
- One tablet a day, so it is easy to keep on top of symptoms through the pollen season
- Works on nose, eye and skin symptoms rather than just one of them
- Suitable from age 12, and can be taken with or without food
- A month's supply in one pack
Who should take care?
Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Not for children under 12. Tell our pharmacist if you have kidney problems, epilepsy, difficulty passing urine, or if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive. Cetirizine makes some people drowsy - see how it affects you before driving or using tools, and avoid alcohol while taking it. If your symptoms do not improve, or you are wheezy or short of breath, speak to your GP.
