What is Piriton Allergy Tablets?

Piriton Allergy Tablets provide relief from a range of allergy symptoms, including hay fever, hives (nettle rash), and the itch of insect bites and stings. Each tablet contains chlorphenamine maleate 4 mg.

How does it help?

Chlorphenamine is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, the substance your body releases during an allergic reaction, helping to ease sneezing, itching, a runny nose and skin reactions.

Key benefits

  • Relieves hay fever and allergy symptoms
  • Eases itchy skin, hives and nettle rash
  • Helps with reactions to insect bites and stings
  • Well-established antihistamine
  • Suitable for adults and children (check the leaflet for ages)

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. This is a sedating antihistamine and can cause drowsiness, so take care when driving or using tools; avoid alcohol. Don't use if you're allergic to any of the ingredients. Speak to our pharmacist if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, taking other medicines, or have any ongoing health conditions. Our pharmacist checks every order before it's supplied.
