What is Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant Capsules 12?
Benadryl Allergy Relief Plus Decongestant is a capsule for hay fever and other allergies when a blocked nose is part of the problem. Each capsule combines an antihistamine, acrivastine, with the decongestant pseudoephedrine. You take one capsule when you need it, up to three times a day.
How does it help?
Acrivastine blocks histamine, the chemical your body releases when it reacts to pollen, dust or pet dander, so it eases sneezing, itching and a runny nose. Pseudoephedrine narrows the swollen blood vessels in the lining of your nose, which opens the airway and relieves congestion. The two ingredients work on different symptoms, which is why this product is chosen when a plain antihistamine leaves the nose blocked.
Key benefits
- Treats sneezing, itchy eyes and a runny nose alongside a blocked nose in one capsule
- Taken only when needed, up to three times a day
- Acrivastine is a short-acting antihistamine, so each dose wears off within the day
- Small pack of 12 capsules for occasional or short-term use
