What is Voltarol Back and Muscle Pain Relief 1.16% Gel?

A topical gel for the relief of back and muscle pain, such as strains, sprains and everyday aches. It is rubbed into the skin over the painful area. For ages 14 and over.

How does it help?

Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID). Applied to the skin, it acts locally to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in the muscle or joint underneath.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. For external use only — don't use on broken skin and keep away from the eyes and mouth. Don't use if you're allergic to diclofenac, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers, or if these have ever triggered asthma or skin reactions. Avoid in the last three months of pregnancy. Speak to our pharmacist if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, taking other medicines, or have any ongoing health conditions.
