What is Anadin Joint Pain 200mg Ibuprofen Tablets 16?
Anadin Joint Pain is a 200mg ibuprofen tablet for short-term relief of mild to moderate pain, including rheumatic and muscular pain, backache and neuralgia (nerve pain).
How does it help?
Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It lowers the body's production of prostaglandins, the chemicals that cause pain and inflammation in a sore joint or injured muscle, so it eases the pain and the swelling behind it.
Key benefits
- Relieves pain and also reduces inflammation
- With a 2-tablet dose, pain relief can last up to 8 hours
- 1 or 2 tablets up to 3 times a day, at least 4 hours apart, and no more than 6 tablets in 24 hours
- Can be used for rheumatic and muscular pain, backache and nerve pain
Who should take care?
Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Do not take it if you have ever had a stomach ulcer, perforation or bleeding; if you are allergic to ibuprofen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers, including asthma, a runny nose, swelling or hives after taking them; if you have severe liver, kidney or heart failure; if you are taking other anti-inflammatory painkillers or more than 75mg of aspirin a day; or if you are in the last three months of pregnancy. Speak to us first if you have asthma, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart, liver, kidney or bowel problems (such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis) or lupus, if you have had a stroke, if you smoke, if you take a blood thinner, steroid tablets or an SSRI antidepressant, or if you are pregnant. Each tablet contains 67mg of sucrose, so it is not suitable for people with rare inherited sugar intolerances. Young people aged 12 to 17 should see a doctor if it is needed for more than 3 days, and adults should speak to a pharmacist or doctor if it is needed for more than 10 days. Our pharmacist checks it is right for you before it is supplied.
