What is Sharps Bin 0.6L?
A small, rigid plastic bin with a lid, made for storing used needles and other sharp medical items until they can be disposed of properly. It contains no medicine and needs no marketing authorisation - it is simply a safe container.
How does it help?
Used needles cannot go in a household bin, where they can injure family members or waste collectors and pass on infection. A sharps bin solves that with thick, puncture-resistant walls and a lid opening that lets items drop in but not fall back out. You drop each needle, lancet or pen needle straight in after use, keep the lid closed between uses, stop at the fill line, then close it for disposal through the route your local council or pharmacy uses.
Key benefits
- Puncture-resistant walls keep used sharps safely contained
- The 0.6 litre size suits home use with insulin pens, injection pens and lancets
- Small enough to keep discreetly where you inject or test
- Keeps needles out of household bins, where they can injure other people
Who should take care?
Always read the instructions before use. Drop sharps straight in point-first and never push them down with your fingers or tip the bin out. Stop filling at the marked fill line - an overfilled bin is a hazard - then close the lid securely. Keep it out of reach of children and pets, and never re-open a closed bin. Disposal arrangements differ from area to area, so check with your local council or ask us how full bins are collected or returned near you. If you injure yourself on a used needle, wash the area, encourage it to bleed and get medical advice the same day.
