What is Rennie Heartburn & Indigestion Relief Chewable Tablets 72?

Rennie is an antacid for indigestion and heartburn - including acid indigestion, upset stomach, over-indulgence in food and drink, and indigestion during pregnancy.

How does it help?

Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate neutralise excess acid in the stomach, easing the burning and discomfort of heartburn and indigestion. Suck or chew two tablets, ideally an hour after meals and at bedtime, or whenever heartburn strikes. Do not take more than 10 tablets in 24 hours.

Who should take care?

For adults and children over 12. Do not take more than 10 tablets a day, and do not use for more than 14 days - see a doctor if symptoms persist. Do not take if you have high calcium levels, calcium kidney stones or severe kidney problems. Antacids can stop some medicines being absorbed (for example tetracycline and quinolone antibiotics, digoxin, levothyroxine, bisphosphonates, dolutegravir and eltrombopag), so take them at different times. Do not take with large amounts of milk or dairy products. Each tablet contains glucose and sucrose - not suitable with hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency.
