What is Germoloids Cream 55g?

A dual-action cream for internal and external piles and for itching around the back passage (pruritus ani), supplied with an applicator so it can be used inside as well as outside.

How does it help?

Lidocaine is a local anaesthetic that numbs the area to ease pain and itching, while zinc oxide soothes and protects the sore skin and helps calm swelling and irritation. Apply to the affected area at least twice a day, leaving three to four hours between applications; extra applications are particularly helpful after a bowel movement. For internal piles, gently insert the applicator and squeeze out a small amount.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Do not use more than four times in any 24-hour period. Not for children under 12 unless a doctor has advised it. If your piles keep coming back, are severe or bleed heavily, see a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, check with our pharmacist or your doctor before using it. Do not use if you are allergic to lidocaine, zinc oxide or any other ingredient, and stop if irritation gets worse. If swallowed accidentally, seek medical advice.
