What is Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free Syrup 150ml?
Covonia Chesty Cough Sugar Free Syrup is a guaifenesin cough syrup for loosening stubborn mucus and clearing a chesty cough. It is sugar-free, which makes it a sensible choice for people with diabetes or anyone watching their sugar intake, and it comes in a 150ml bottle. It is for adults and children aged 12 and over.
How does it help?
Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It thins and loosens the mucus that has built up on the chest, so each cough moves more of it and the chest clears sooner. The dose for anyone 12 and over is three 5ml spoonfuls (15ml), no more often than every six hours, and no more than three doses in 24 hours.

Who should take care?
Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Not for children under 12, or for anyone with porphyria or an allergy to any of the ingredients. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contains sorbitol, so it is not suitable if you have a hereditary intolerance to fructose, and the colouring Ponceau 4R (E124), which may cause allergic reactions. Do not take more than three doses in 24 hours. If the cough lasts more than three weeks, see your doctor.
