Care+ Night Cold & Flu Relief is a pharmacy medicine for the night-time relief of cold and flu symptoms - headache, shivers, sore throat, tickly cough, runny nose, aches and pains - for adults and children aged 12 and over.
How does it help?
Paracetamol eases pain and fever, promethazine is a sedating antihistamine that dries a runny nose and helps sleep, and dextromethorphan calms a tickly cough. Shake the bottle and use the measuring cup. Adults and children 16 and over: one 20ml dose just before bed. 12 to 15 years: 10-15ml just before bed. Only one dose a night, and for no more than 3 nights without medical advice.

Who should take care?
Causes drowsiness - do not drive or use machinery, and do not drink alcohol. Contains paracetamol: do not take any other paracetamol, cough, cold, decongestant or antihistamine product (including creams). Not for under 12s, people with liver or kidney problems, breathing failure, COPD or an asthma attack, or anyone taking an MAOI (or within 2 weeks) or an SSRI antidepressant. Long use can cause dependence. Each 20ml dose contains 2.9g of alcohol, plus propylene glycol and maltitol. Get urgent medical help after taking too much, even if you feel well.
