What is Benylin Mucus Cough Night 150ml?
Benylin Mucus Cough Night is a pharmacy medicine for the relief of a cough - dry and/or chesty - and its congestion, helping restful sleep, for adults and children aged 12 and over.
How does it help?
Guaifenesin loosens mucus so it is easier to cough up, diphenhydramine is a sedating antihistamine that helps you sleep, and levomenthol soothes. Adults and children 12 and over: two 5ml spoonfuls (10ml) four times a day - or start with 10ml at bedtime and then every 6 hours. No more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

Who should take care?
Causes drowsiness - do not drive, cycle or use machinery if affected, and avoid alcohol. Not for under 12s, and never use it to make a child sleepy. Do not take with a cough suppressant or anything else containing diphenhydramine. Contains glucose and sucrose (7g and 2g per 10ml dose), alcohol, sodium, benzoic acid and the colour Ponceau 4R (E124). Ask first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop and see a doctor if the cough lasts more than 5 days, keeps coming back, or comes with a fever, rash or lasting headache.
