What is Strepsils Honey & Lemon Lozenges?

Honey and lemon flavoured medicated lozenges for the symptomatic relief of mouth and throat infections, including the discomfort of a sore throat.

How does it help?

Each lozenge contains two mild antiseptics, amylmetacresol 0.6mg and 2,4-dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2mg. Sucking the lozenge lets it dissolve slowly so the antiseptics reach the bacteria in the mouth and throat, while the lozenge itself keeps the throat moist and eases the raw, scratchy feeling.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Not suitable for children under 6 years. Do not take more than 12 lozenges in a day. Do not use if you have ever reacted to any of the ingredients. Each lozenge contains glucose and sucrose, so take care if you have diabetes, and the lozenges may not be suitable if you have a wheat allergy or a sensitivity to sulphites.
