What is Vicks First Defence Nasal Spray 15ml?

Vicks First Defence is a nasal spray for adults and children aged 12 and over, used as soon as you feel the first signs of a cold - a tickly, runny or sneezing nose or a tickly throat.

How does it help?

The spray forms a micro-gel in the nose where a cold first takes hold, to help relieve those early symptoms. Start at the first signs. Without tilting your head back, apply 2 to 3 sprays into each nostril, avoiding a deep sniff, 4 times a day with at least 4 hours between doses. Keep using it for 48 hours after symptoms settle.

Who should take care?

Not for children under 12. Ask a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, get nosebleeds easily, or have nose, ear or throat sensitivities. A runnier nose and brief stinging are normal. Keep away from the eyes - if it gets in, rinse with water and get medical advice. One person per bottle, to avoid spreading infection. See a pharmacist or doctor if your cold lasts more than 7 days or you get a fever.
