What is Strepsils Soothing Throat Spray 20ml?

Strepsils Soothing Throat Spray is a self-care medical device for a sore throat, not a medicine. It is a 20ml bottle with a spray applicator that you direct at the back of the throat. It is intended for use by adults and children from 3 years old.

How does it help?

The spray works physically rather than pharmacologically. Its Polysac-Active solution settles on the lining of the throat and forms a thin protective film over the sore, irritated surface. That film acts as a barrier while it stays in place, which takes the edge off the rawness you feel when you swallow. Because it is sprayed straight at the sore area, it can be used when a lozenge is awkward, such as for a younger child.

Who should take care?
