What is Movicol Ease Citrus Flavour 13.7g Sachets 20?

Movicol Ease Citrus Flavour is an osmotic laxative for the relief of occasional constipation in adults.

How does it help?

Macrogol 3350 holds water in the bowel, softening the stools and making them easier to pass; the added salts help keep the body's fluid and electrolyte balance. Dissolve each sachet in 125ml of water and drink it. Take 1 to 3 sachets a day in divided doses, then reduce and stop once your bowels are regular again. Do not use for more than 5 days without advice.

Who should take care?

For adults aged 18 and over only. Do not use for more than 5 days - see a doctor or pharmacist if you still need it. Do not use if you have a bowel obstruction or perforation, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis or toxic megacolon, or if you have stomach pain, sickness or vomiting that has not been diagnosed. Keep drinking plenty of fluids. Stop and get medical advice if you develop swelling, shortness of breath, increasing tiredness or signs of dehydration, and take care if you have kidney problems or are older.
