What is Fybogel Fibre Chews Tablets 60?

A chewable way of adding soluble fibre to your day, for people whose bowels have become sluggish or irregular. Each tablet carries 1g of Fibersol-2 soluble fibre. It is registered as a medical device rather than a medicine.

How does it help?

Soluble fibre passes through the small intestine largely undigested and draws water into the stool as it goes. That makes the stool softer and bulkier, which is easier for the bowel to move along, so things become more regular. Because the fibre is not absorbed, it works inside the gut rather than in the bloodstream.

Who should take care?

Do not use if you have difficulty swallowing, or if you have been told you may have a narrowing or blockage in the bowel. See your GP if constipation lasts more than a week, or if you have abdominal pain, bleeding from the back passage, unexplained weight loss or a sudden lasting change in bowel habit.
