What is Doublebase Emollient Wash Gel 200g?
Doublebase Emollient Wash Gel is a pharmacy medicine: a highly emollient, protective soap substitute for dry or chapped skin conditions that may also be itchy or inflamed - such as eczema and other dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis and dry elderly skin.
How does it help?
Used in place of soap, it cleanses without foaming additives or fragrance while helping to soften, moisturise and protect the skin and lock in moisture, so washing does not dry the skin out. Use it whenever you wash: gently wash the skin, rinse off, and pat dry with a soft towel rather than rubbing. It can be used alongside other emollients or treatments your doctor, nurse or pharmacist has advised.

Who should take care?
Always read the leaflet. Do not use if you are allergic to isopropyl myristate, liquid paraffin or any other ingredient. It can make the bath or shower slippery - take care, and clean surfaces with detergent. Fire risk: fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings) that has been in contact with this product burns more easily - do not smoke or go near naked flames, and change and wash fabrics often. See our pharmacist or your GP if the skin is weeping, crusted, infected-looking or not improving.
