What is Doublebase Emollient Bath Additive 500ml?
Doublebase Emollient Bath Additive is a medicine for the symptomatic relief of contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), itchy elderly skin, ichthyosis and related dry skin disorders.
How does it help?
Liquid paraffin leaves a fine protective layer on the skin that holds in moisture, so it is softer and less itchy. Shake the bottle. Adults: add 15 to 20ml (1.5 to 2 inner capfuls) to a standard bath; babies and children: 5 to 10ml (half to one capful) to a small bath or basin. Soak the affected areas for 10 to 20 minutes, or sponge the water gently over them, then pat dry.

Who should take care?
For external use only. Take care not to slip in the bath, and clean the bath afterwards with a detergent. Do not use if sensitive to any ingredient. Contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions. Contains paraffin: fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings) that has been in contact with it burns more easily - keep away from naked flames and do not smoke; washing reduces but does not remove it.
