What is Oilatum Emollient Bath Additive 500ml?
Oilatum Emollient is a medicine for contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), itchy elderly skin, ichthyosis and related dry skin conditions - especially where soaps and soap substitutes irritate.
How does it help?
The oil spreads a moisturising film over the skin as you bathe, replacing lost oils and hydrating the outer layer so it is softer and less itchy. Always use it with water. Adults: add 1 to 3 capfuls to an 8-inch bath and soak for 10 to 20 minutes, then pat dry. Babies: add half to 2 capfuls to a basin of water and sponge gently over the whole body. To cleanse, rub a little into wet skin, rinse and pat dry.

Who should take care?
Take care not to slip in the bath. Stop and see a doctor if a rash or irritation develops. Contains fragrance (including geraniol, linalool, coumarin and limonene) and lanolin - use with care if you are sensitive to these. Contains paraffin: fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings) that has been in contact with it burns more easily - keep away from naked flames and do not smoke; washing reduces but does not remove it.
