What is Doublebase Dayleve Gel 500g?

Doublebase Dayleve Gel is a licensed emollient — a moisturising and protective gel for dry or chapped skin conditions, including the dryness that comes with eczema and dermatitis. The 500g bottle is the size most people use when they are treating larger areas regularly.

How does it help?

Dry skin is skin that is losing water faster than it can hold on to it. The oils in the gel sit on the surface as a protective layer that slows that water loss, while the gel base softens the outer layer so it stays flexible instead of cracking. It is formulated to keep working through the day, so it is applied morning and night rather than constantly.

Like other paraffin-containing emollients, it makes fabric burn more easily: clothing, bedding, dressings and bandages that have been in contact with it are a serious fire hazard, so do not smoke or go near naked flames.
