What is Dentinox Cradle Cap Treatment Shampoo 125ml?

A mild, colourless shampoo licensed for the treatment of cradle cap in babies and for general care of an infant's scalp and hair.

How does it help?

Its two gentle cleansing agents soften and lift the greasy, yellowish scales of cradle cap so they rinse away with washing rather than having to be picked off. Wet the head with warm water, massage a little shampoo gently over the whole scalp, rinse and repeat, then rinse well and pat dry. Use at each bath time until the scalp is clear, then as needed.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. For external use only; keep out of the eyes. Do not use on broken or infected skin, or where there are signs of atopic eczema such as itching, redness, swelling, blistering, cracking or flaky dryness, because shampoos of this kind can make eczema worse. Test on a small area first and wash off after a few minutes; do not use on the scalp if that area becomes red or inflamed within 24 hours, and stop if the skin reacts. Avoid very hot water, vigorous rubbing and other shampoos at the same time, and never pick at the scales. A few hairs caught in the crust may come away with it, which is a normal part of the condition clearing.
