What is Calpol SixPlus Fastmelts 12?
A pack of 12 paracetamol tablets made to melt on the tongue, so a child does not need to swallow a tablet or drink a dose of liquid. They are licensed for children aged 6 and over and are used for everyday pain and for a raised temperature.
How does it help?
Each Fastmelt contains 250mg of paracetamol. Paracetamol changes the way the brain handles pain signals and acts on the part of the brain that controls body temperature, so it eases aches and brings a fever down. The tablet disperses in the mouth and is then swallowed with the saliva, so no water is needed.

Who should take care?
Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Contains paracetamol: do not give with any other paracetamol-containing medicine, and never give more than the stated dose. Not for children under 6 years. Talk to us or your doctor first if the child has liver or kidney problems, or is taking any other regular medicine. If the pain or fever lasts more than three days, or gets worse, speak to your doctor. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if the child seems well. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Our pharmacist checks it is right before it is supplied.
