What is Vaginal Infection pH Test Kit?

A simple home test that checks how acidic the inside of the vagina is. A healthy vagina is normally acidic, and a raised (less acidic) reading is one of the signs that fits with bacterial vaginosis rather than thrush.

How does it help?

You collect a sample with the swab in the pack, hold it against the test pad, and compare the colour it turns with the chart provided. The colour corresponds to a pH number, which you can then share with the pharmacist alongside a description of your symptoms.

Who should take care?

Always read the instructions before use. A pH reading is one piece of information, not a diagnosis, and it cannot confirm or rule out an infection on its own. Recent sex, a period, or vaginal creams, lubricants and washes can change the result. Speak to our pharmacist, your GP or a sexual health clinic if you have pain, fever, bleeding between periods or after sex, symptoms in pregnancy, or symptoms that do not settle.
