What is Sudafed Mucus Relief Triple Action Cold & Flu Tablets 16?

Sudafed Mucus Relief Triple Action Cold & Flu Tablets are a medicine for the relief of cold and flu symptoms, including aches and pains, headache, blocked nose, sore throat, chills and a chesty cough, for adults and children aged 12 and over.

How does it help?

Paracetamol eases pain and fever, guaifenesin loosens mucus so a chesty cough clears more easily, and phenylephrine reduces swelling in the nose. Swallow two tablets whole with water, every four hours as needed, up to 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Who should take care?

Contains paracetamol: do not take anything else with paracetamol, or any other cold, flu or decongestant product or a cough suppressant. Get urgent help after taking too much, even if you feel well. Not for under 12s or anyone with liver problems, severe kidney problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, an overactive thyroid, closed-angle glaucoma or phaeochromocytoma, or taking an MAOI (or within 2 weeks), a tricyclic antidepressant or a beta-blocker. Ask a doctor first if pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop and see a doctor if the cough lasts more than 5 days, keeps coming back, or comes with a fever, rash or lasting headache.
