What is Orlos 60mg Capsules 84?

Orlos is a pharmacy weight-loss medicine containing orlistat 60mg. It is licensed for adults aged 18 and over whose BMI is 28 or above, and is designed to be used alongside a reduced-calorie, lower-fat diet rather than on its own. One capsule is taken with each main meal that contains fat, up to three times a day.

How does it help?

Orlistat works in the gut, not in the bloodstream. It attaches to the enzymes that break down dietary fat, so roughly a quarter of the fat in a meal passes through the digestive system undigested instead of being absorbed. Because it is barely absorbed into the body, it does not act on appetite or on the brain.
