What is Orajel Mouth Ulcer & Denture Gel 5.3g?
Orajel Mouth Gel is a medicine for the temporary relief of the pain and tenderness of mouth ulcers and of sore spots from wearing dentures, for adults and children over 12.
How does it help?
Benzocaine is a local anaesthetic that quickly numbs the surface of the sore area. Clean and dry the area, cut the tip of the tube on the score mark, and apply a thin layer to the tender spots inside the mouth. Use up to four times a day, for no longer than 4 days. If the pain persists, see your dentist or doctor.

Who should take care?
Not for children under 12. Do not use if you are allergic to benzocaine or other local anaesthetics, or if you or your family have had methaemoglobinaemia. Short-term use only, until you can see a dentist or doctor - it can hide signs of something more serious. Avoid hot drinks while the mouth is numb. Do not use with sulphonamide medicines. See a dentist or doctor for an ulcer lasting more than 3 weeks, or one that keeps coming back.
