icesupp is a frozen food supplement, made in the UK, that you keep in the freezer and eat like a soft sorbet or ice lolly straight from the pouch. It was created for people who struggle to eat enough during illness or treatment, when appetite is poor, the mouth is sore or hot food is unappealing, and it is also used as a cold, light source of protein and calories around exercise. It comes in two flavours, Mixed Berries and Mango and Passionfruit, as a single pouch or a box of 12.
How does it help?
Each 86 ml pouch delivers 150 kcal of energy, 4.9 g of plant protein, 2.5 g of fibre and a blend of vitamins and minerals including vitamin D, in a form that is cold, soothing and easy to swallow when a normal meal feels like too much. Pouches arrive as an ambient liquid: freeze them for 24 hours before use, then let one thaw for 5 to 10 minutes, unscrew the top and eat. Supplements like this are a top-up, not a replacement for a balanced diet.
