What is Forceval Capsules 30?

Forceval is a licensed multivitamin and mineral capsule taken once a day. Unlike a general supplement it is a medicine with a licensed use: a therapeutic nutritional adjunct where the intake of vitamins and minerals is suboptimal, for example during convalescence after illness or surgery, on a restricted diet or with a food intolerance, or with conditions that reduce absorption such as inflammatory bowel disease.

How does it help?

Each capsule supplies a broad balance of vitamins and minerals in amounts designed to top up a diet that is not providing enough. The body relies on these micronutrients for releasing energy from food, immune function, making red blood cells and repairing bone and tissue, so restoring the intake supports the normal processes that depend on them.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Not recommended for children under 12. Do not take if you are allergic to peanut or soya (the capsules contain soya bean oil), or if you have high calcium levels, haemochromatosis or another iron storage disorder. Do not take other vitamin, mineral or supplement products at the same time, including any containing vitamin A. Forceval contains iron: keep it well out of the sight and reach of children, as an overdose can be fatal. Tell our pharmacist if you take phenytoin or a tetracycline antibiotic such as doxycycline, as Forceval can affect how they work.
