What is Cerumol Olive Oil Ear Drops 10ml?

Cerumol Olive Oil Ear Drops are simple, single-ingredient drops used to soften and loosen ear wax that has built up and blocked the ear. They can be used on their own to let wax clear naturally, or to soften a stubborn plug before it is removed professionally. The 10ml bottle has a dropper for easy application.

How does it help?

Ear wax softens when it soaks in oil. Tilt your head, place two to three drops into the blocked ear twice a day and keep the head tilted for a few minutes so the oil reaches the wax; a small piece of cotton wool can be used to stop it running out. Over several days the softened wax breaks up and works its way out of the ear canal naturally, which is how the ear normally clears itself.

Who should take care?

Always read the instructions before use. Do not use if you have a perforated eardrum or if the ear is sore, inflamed or discharging, and ask our pharmacist first if you have had ear surgery or have grommets. Never put cotton buds or anything else into the ear canal. If the ear is still blocked or painful after a week of use, or you notice hearing loss, ringing or dizziness, speak to our pharmacist or your GP. Discard the bottle 28 days after first opening.
