What is EarCalm 2% Ear Spray 5ml?
EarCalm is a spray for the outer ear canal. It contains acetic acid, a mild acid that makes the ear canal less welcoming to the bacteria and fungi that cause superficial infections - the kind often picked up after swimming.
How does it help?
Acetic acid lowers the pH inside the ear canal. Most of the organisms behind outer-ear infection cannot grow in that acidity, so the infection settles without an antibiotic.

Who should take care?
Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Do not use if you have a perforated eardrum or grommets, or if the ear is discharging - speak to our pharmacist first. Stop and seek advice if there is no improvement after 48 hours, or sooner if the pain worsens or you become unwell.
