What is TCP Antiseptic Liquid 200ml?

TCP Antiseptic Liquid is a general-purpose antiseptic for the home. Diluted with water, it can be used as a gargle for a sore throat or applied to minor cuts, grazes, bites and stings. Used undiluted, it can be dabbed on to mouth ulcers, spots, boils and pimples.

How does it help?

The phenols in TCP are antiseptics: they kill or stop the growth of germs on the skin and in the mouth and throat. This helps keep minor wounds and blemishes clean and helps relieve the soreness of a sore throat or mouth ulcer while it heals.

Who should take care?

Always read the patient information leaflet before use. Never swallow TCP: when using it as a gargle, dilute it as directed on the pack and spit it out. Follow the dilution on the pack for each use. Do not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, and keep it away from the eyes. See a dentist or doctor if a mouth ulcer has not healed within two weeks, and get medical advice if other symptoms last more than a few days, or if a wound is deep, dirty or shows signs of infection.
