What is Acriflex Antiseptic Burns Cream 30g?

Acriflex is an antiseptic cream for treating minor burns and scalds, scratches, cuts and abrasions, sunburn blisters and infected cracked skin.

How does it help?

Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic that helps protect a wound from infection, in a soothing cream base. Apply freely and smooth gently into the skin as needed; for cuts, grazes and burns, spread it on and cover with a dressing if necessary. For a burn, cool it first under cool running water for 20 minutes.

Who should take care?

Do not use if you have ever reacted to chlorhexidine - it can rarely cause severe allergic reactions. For external use only: keep it out of the eyes (rinse at once with water and get medical advice if it gets in), and do not use in the mouth, ears or other body cavities. Contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions. Stop using it and get help at once if you develop a rash, swelling or breathing difficulty. Go to A&E for large or deep burns, burns to the face, hands, feet or genitals, chemical or electrical burns, or burns on a baby.
