What is Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil Maximum Strength?

Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil Maximum Strength is a higher-dose cod liver oil supplement, as one-a-day capsules or a liquid, combining omega-3 fish oils with vitamins D and E (and vitamin A in the capsules).

How does it help?

Each capsule gives 885mg of cod liver and fish oils (308mg omega-3) and 10 micrograms of vitamin D, the daily amount the UK government recommends. Vitamin D contributes to the normal function of the immune system and the maintenance of normal bones and normal muscle function. Capsules: adults and children over 12, one a day with a glass of cold water. Liquid: shake well; adults over 15 take two 5ml spoons a day and children over 11 one 5ml spoon, on its own or mixed with milk or fruit juice, and use within two months of opening.

Who should take care?

Do not exceed one capsule a day or take with another supplement containing vitamin A or vitamin D without advice. If you are pregnant or could become pregnant, do not take cod liver oil or other vitamin A (retinol) supplements unless your doctor or midwife advises it. Contains fish and beef gelatine - not suitable for vegetarians. Food supplements should not replace a varied, balanced diet.
