What is Perspirex Antiperspirant Roll-On 20ml?

Perspirex is a roll-on antiperspirant for people who find an everyday deodorant does not hold up. It is a cosmetic product, regulated as cosmetics are rather than as a medicine, and it is used differently from a normal deodorant - it goes on at night rather than in the morning, and once it is working most people only need it every few days.

How does it help?

A deodorant mainly masks smell. An antiperspirant reduces the sweat itself: the aluminium salt reacts with moisture at the opening of the sweat duct and forms a temporary plug just inside it, so less sweat reaches the skin surface. It is applied to dry skin at bedtime because the sweat glands are least active overnight, which gives the plug time to form; the plugs are shed naturally as the skin renews itself, which is why it is reapplied every few days rather than daily.

Who should take care?

Always read the instructions before use.
