What is Eucerin UreaRepair Original 10% Urea Cream 100ml?

Eucerin UreaRepair Original 10% Urea Cream is a moisturising cream with 10% urea, a substance the skin produces naturally as part of its own moisturising factor, together with sodium lactate. It is for dry, rough, flaky or scaly skin on the body, including the thicker skin of elbows, knees, hands and feet. It is a skincare product rather than a medicine, and contains no perfume.

How does it help?

Urea is a humectant: it draws water into the outer layers of the skin and holds it there, so skin feels softer and less tight. At 10% it also gently loosens the bonds between dead skin cells, which helps rough, flaky patches shed and smooth out. Sodium lactate adds to the water-binding effect, and the paraffin and lanolin-alcohol base forms a light layer that slows moisture loss.

Who should take care?

Always read the instructions before use. Urea can sting briefly on cracked, broken or inflamed skin, so avoid open cracks and sore patches until they have healed. Contains lanolin alcohol; avoid it if you know you are sensitive to lanolin. Keep away from the eyes. It is intended for the body rather than the face.
