What is Blephasol Eyelid Lotion 100ml?

Blephasol is a clear, preservative-free micellar lotion made for the delicate skin of the eyelids. You apply a little to a clean cotton pad and wipe gently along the closed lid margin and lashes, morning and evening, to clear away the crusting, flakes and oily debris that build up in blepharitis and dry eye. It does not need rinsing off.

How does it help?

Micelles are tiny clusters of mild cleansing molecules that attract and hold on to oil and dirt. As you wipe, they lift the greasy secretions and dead skin cells from the edge of the eyelid, where they would otherwise block the oil (meibomian) glands and feed the bacteria that irritate the lids. Clearing this daily helps the glands release their oil normally, which in turn helps the tear film stay stable and the eyes feel less gritty.

Who should take care?

Always read the instructions before use. For external use on the closed eyelids only; do not drop it into the eye. Use a clean cotton pad for each eye. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If your eye becomes painful, very red or sensitive to light, if your vision changes, or if symptoms do not improve after a few weeks of regular lid hygiene, speak to our pharmacist, an optician or your GP. Close the bottle after use and keep it out of reach of children.
