What is Balance Activ BV Pessaries 7?

Balance Activ BV Pessaries treat the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis (BV): an unpleasant, often fishy odour, abnormal discharge and vaginal discomfort.

How does it help?

Lactic acid restores the vagina's natural acidic pH, while glycogen supports the growth of its normal, beneficial bacteria. Insert one pessary deep into the vagina at bedtime for 7 nights in a row. Each pessary is single use - do not divide it. A panty liner may help with any leakage.

Who should take care?

Not for use by or on children. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, or if the pessary is damaged. Avoid using it while trying to conceive - the low pH may affect sperm. It can be used in pregnancy, but see your doctor if you think you have an infection while pregnant. It may sting or itch briefly if the vaginal skin is cracked. See your GP or a sexual health clinic if this is your first episode of BV, symptoms come back often, or you have pain, fever, unusual bleeding or a possible sexually transmitted infection.
