Is Aveeno Daily Moisturising Hand Cream suitable for sensitive skin?
It’s made for normal to dry hands, and the ingredient list carries no added fragrance or colourings, which is why the range is aimed at sensitive skin. It’s a cosmetic rather than a licensed medicine, so it isn’t a treatment for a skin condition. If your skin reacts easily, try a small area first and stop if it irritates.
Does it contain oats?
Yes — the star ingredient is prebiotic colloidal oatmeal, which appears on the pack as Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Flour. Avoid it if you have a known oat allergy. It’s a leave-on cosmetic rather than something you eat, but if you’re unsure whether an ingredient suits you, check the full list on the tube or ask our pharmacist.
How is it different from a medical emollient?
This is a cosmetic hand cream: fast-absorbing, made for everyday dryness and to keep moisturising through hand washing.
