What is AproDerm Emollient Cream 500g?
AproDerm Emollient Cream is a daily emollient for dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, suitable from birth. It can be used both as a moisturiser and as a soap substitute for washing.
How does it help?
White soft paraffin and liquid paraffin restore moisture and protect the skin barrier, soothing the itch and irritation of dry skin; it is a cooling cream that absorbs easily. Apply liberally to the affected area and smooth gently onto the skin, as often as required or as your doctor or pharmacist directs. To use as a soap substitute, apply to wet skin and rinse.

Who should take care?
For external use only. Paraffin-based emollients carry a fire risk: fabric (clothing, bedding, dressings) with emollient dried on it catches fire more easily - do not smoke or go near naked flames, and change and wash fabrics often (MHRA advice for all paraffin-containing emollients). Stop using it if your skin becomes irritated. If eczema or psoriasis is red, weeping, infected-looking or not improving, speak to our pharmacist or your GP.
