What it is

Adapalene 0.1% gel or cream (Differin) and adapalene 0.1% / benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel (Epiduo) are prescription-strength retinoid treatments for mild-to-moderate acne on the face and/or trunk.

Which is better, Differin or Epiduo?

They suit different skin. Adapalene alone (Differin) is gentler to start; Epiduo adds benzoyl peroxide for spots with more inflammation. Our pharmacist will suggest which fits your skin at your consultation.

How long until it works?

Acne treatments take time — most people see a real difference after 8–12 weeks of daily use. It's normal for skin to look a little worse in the first few weeks.

Is it suitable for teenagers?

Yes, from age 12. Under-16s need a parent or guardian present for the consultation.
